About Me!

I’m a band instrument repair technician and a freelance professional low brass musician.

I attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University and the University of British Columbia, studying music at both institutions. I apprenticed instrument repair with Howard Lee for 2 years, and I’ve been repairing band instruments for 15ish years since then!

I consider myself forever a student of instrument repair. I'm always trying to improve my skills and learn new methods or techniques. I treat my shop and tools with great respect. My mantra is "good enough is not good enough."

I have a YouTube channel where I will also occasionally post videos about instrument repair. Please subscribe to my channel. The more subscribers I get, the more content I can create, and the better quality the videos will be.

When I'm not repairing instruments, I also play trombone, euphonium, and tuba pretty well. Some might call me a freelance professional. I've played recently with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, Vancouver Brass Quintet, Turning Point Ensemble, A Touch of Brass, and many, many more.
